Within the framework of the Visegrad Fund Program for the students of the educational programs "Psychology" and "Primary education with in-depth study of the English language" on November 25, an open meeting was held on the topic "Family Resilience". The event was attended by the director of the Institute of Family Therapy and Relationship Therapy (Slovakia), supervisor, therapist Dushana Pryiegradna. The interpretation of the lecture was carried out by the teacher of the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Management of NaUOA Tetiana Kucher.

Halyna Handzilevska, Doctor of Psychology, professor, guarantor of the educational program "Primary education with in-depth study of the English language" and organizer of the open lecture addressed with an opening speech:

“Family is a powerful resource, a support in difficult situations for a child. Therefore, it is very important for parents to be able to be together with their children, to listen to each other, to cherish family values, to interact constructively. Family resilience is defined by scientists as its ability as a system to withstand and recover from life's trials. This is especially relevant in the present-day conditions. I am very grateful to Eva Shkorvagova, with whom our students are already familiar, for inviting Dr. Dushana Pryiegradna to share her professional experience with the future teachers and psychologists.”

During the lecture, Dushana Pryiegradna talked about how to support families in need during difficult periods of life, find resources and ways of development in such situations.

The speaker also focused on the relational model of children's behavior, which will help future teachers find new formats of work with children.

Alina Dovga, a 3rd year student of the Educational and Scientific Program "Primary education with in-depth study of the English language", shared her impressions of the meeting:

“The lecture on family resilience turned out to be very interesting and informative. It was useful to know something new in such difficult time and gain experience. Self-improvement can be accessible even online thanks to the technologies.”
