The official opening of the grant project "Resilient approach to the training of future teachers in Ukraine and the countries of the Visegrad Four" took place at Ostroh Academy

On December 2, the National University of Ostroh Academy hosted the official opening of the grant project of the Visegrad Foundation "Resilient Approach to Training Future Teachers in Ukraine and the Visegrad Group".

Ostroh Academy is implementing this project jointly with the University of Žilina (Slovakia), the Palacký University Olomouc (Czech Republic) and the University of Bielsko-Biała (Republic of Poland).

The rector of Ostroh Academy, Professor Ihor Pasichnyk delivered an opening speech: 

“I sincerely congratulate you from the walls of the oldest and at the same time young higher educational institution in Ukraine - Ostroh Academy. Unfortunately, this project is taking place during the war in Ukraine, but at the same time it evokes a feeling of joy, because now our state is supported by the entire world community. It is very pleasant that in this project we feel the friendly support of our colleagues from Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. Your participation is also a great help to our country. I am sure that by the end of the project we will win and in peaceful Ukraine we will hold the final conference within the walls of Ostroh Academy.”

The project manager from Ostroh Academy, Doctor of Psychology, Professor of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy of the NaUOA, the guaranter of the educational program "Primary Education with Advanced Study of the English Language" Halyna Handzilevska presented the team of authors and implementers of the project from Ostroh Academy.

“I welcome all participants of the project and I am very glad that we can officially meet. Unofficially, we already work closely with each coordinator of partner universities. A lot of work has been done and we have begun to implement the tasks set by us. Thanks to each partner university for this”,

- added Halyna Handzilevska.

Eduard Balashov, Doctor of Psychology, Professor, Rector's Assistant for International Cooperation and Fundraising of NaUOA, project coordinator presented the history of Ostroh Academy, its international cooperation, as well as faculties and institutes of NaUOA.

“Ostroh Academy has much in common with each of the universities of this consortium – educational traditions, high quality of educational services, striving for internationalization, etc. I am sure that this project of the Visegrad Fund Program will be successfully implemented and I hope that it will be the first step in establishing our future fruitful long-term cooperation”,

- noted Eduard Balashov.

Also during the meeting, representatives of the University of Žilina, the Palacký University Olomouc and the University of Bielsko-Biała presented their universities, spoke about their history and modernity.

“It was nice to hear the presentation, get to know your universities, get to know you better. This presentation indicates that the project will be successful. I hope that our next meetings will be as fruitful as today,
